Prestwich Thomas [Male]

Legatee under his brother Edmund's will

In the "Pedigree of the Family of Prestwich" Thomas is described as the 5th son of Edmund (who had 5 sons and 3 daughters). The "Pedigree of the Prestwich Family" however gives 5 daughters, but omits Ralph who died "young".

No baptism recod has been found for Thomas, whereas records have been found for all but 3 of Edmunds other children.
Edmund died in 1598 and hence Thomas must have been born by 1599, probably in 1582/3.

His son Elias is noted as having been born about 1653, based on his sons year of birth.

Clearly there are missing generations between Thomas and Elias.

Described as "cousin" of the Sir Thomas who was created a Baronet in 1644, and hence thsi Thomas would be the son of Thomas (the son of Edmund), or possible more generations too.
