William's baptism is at the same place, Linch, as his two siblings. ASll are recorded with parents as William and Ann Anker.

William's marraige certificate for his second marriage to Jane Ede notes his father as Thomas.
His marraige to Martha Puttick was too early for the civil marriage certificates and no church marraige certificate has been found.
It is suggetsed that the record of his father as Thoans on his marriage certificate is incorrect.
This may be due to the fact that, In 1841, William was living next door to his Father's cousin, Thomas.
