Betsy Alice Duxbury and her husband (my great-grandfather Joseph Weir
Crankshaw) have always been a bit of a mystery.
Joseph went to the US in 1880 with two brothers (I have documentary
evidence) and does not appear in the 1881 UK census, but married Betsy
Alice Duxbury on July 14 1881 in Darwen. I have no idea when he returned
to the UK.
On the marriage certificate his address is given as 18 St John St, Darwen
whilst the census shows Robert, Alice, James and Betsy Alice JACKSON living
there. The age of Betsy Alice Jackson (21) corresponds with the age of
Betsy ALice Duxbury on the marriage certificate and both marriage cert and
census describe Betsy Alice as a 'winder' So I suspect they are one and
the same. Quite why she should be 'Jackson' in the census, I don't
understand. This suggests a link with the following entry in the 1851
census you sent, since Betsy's father is given as Jonathan Duxbury on the
marriage certificate (he would appear to be alive in 1881 since he is
described as a weaver (I presume PLW=power loom weaver):

Or Ducksbury
Could be the son of David Duxbury who married "Mrs Duxbury" in Bingley in 1709; records show that they had a son in 1709. Possible that the years of 1709 and 1713 have become confused.
