between 1755 and 1774. Each time the register given then as of Cornburrow. (Cornberry Fold)
Cranberry (which it now called) is situated in the south part of Darwen,
very close to the boundry of Bolton Parish. Prior to 1837 the only place
registered for marriages was the Parish Church, therefore Thomas and Betty
KAY could have used Blackburn Parish Church (at this time Darwen was in the
parish of Blackburn) or they could have used Bolton Parish Church.
