Duxbury Ann [Female] b. 1805 Londesborough, Yorkshire
Not certain that Ann was from thsi family. Baptism record gives mother as Sarah Duxbury, but no father named. Had John Duxbury died before the baptism or is Sarah a different Sarakh Duxbury? Due to teh few Duxburys in this area at this time it has been assumed that she is the same Sarah, but no proof.
Believe that this George is teh son of John and Martha (not Ann) of Nafferton, Yorkshire, England.
CONC
There was also a James Duxbury married to an Alice (Alice Shorrock) - Both Jameses were Weavers
It is believd that Joseph and Thomas are sons of the other James and Alice while Betty (also baptised at the same church as Joseph and Thomas was the daughter of the this James - she married John Gorton and her daughter was with this family in 1841 and 1851 - no sign of Betty or husband John Gorton)
Only death for a possible James in LancsBMD is in 1850 in Blackburn aged 68, hence born 1782
Information from book on Rochdale people
