There was also a James Duxbury married to an Alice (Alice Chippendale) - Both Jameses were Weavers
It is believd that Joseph and Thomas are sons of this James and Alice while Betty (also baptised at the same church as Joseph and Thomas was the daughter of the other James - she married John Gorton and her daughter was with the other James's family in 1841 and 1851 - no sign of Betty or husband John Gorton)
