Baptism in Blackburn give George as a Overlooker; William's marriage in Darwen gives George as a Printer.
Birth dates in 1836 are consistent but in 1871 & 1881 William claims born in Darwen (not Blackburn).
Are these two Williams the same? No other appropriate Williams son of George have been found.
