The family left Minnesota about 1879 for McCook County, South Dakota. Fred is probably in South Dakota at this time. Some of them left McCook county and went to Sumner, Washington, near Seattle. (Clayton Boice of Decorah, Iowa, or May Boice of Harmony, Minnesota, may know about them.)

Obituary, Sumner News Index, July 13, 1906:
Wm. Duxbury was born in Lancashire, England, Oct. 12, 1832. Came to America with his parents when 16 years of age and settled at Salem, Mass. From there he moved to Minnesota, from which state he came to Washington three years ago.
He was married to Emily Boice July 6, 1859. He leaves a widow and seven children, Mrs. Robt. McGowan, of this place, being one of his daughters. Deceased, with his wife, had rooms in the large home of Robt. McGowan, his son-in-law, and where he spent his last days. All his family were at the home at the time of his death, it being the first in the family. He died July 6, 1906, at the age of almost 74.
The funeral was held from the M.E. church on last Sunday, Rev. T.A. Graham officiating. The pall-bearers were: Henry Williams, Reuben Baker, B.E. Bacon, Geo. Livesley, J. W. Bray, Wm. Bock.
