Canova Memorial Hospital
When Rosa was born she was so small she fit in a shoebox and a tea cup fit over her head. Rosa always went to The Church of Christ in Spencer. She loved to piece quilts and made at least one for each of her grandchildren before her death. She was also very good at crochet work and doing lots of fancy potholders.

Lives in Baltimore, Maryland, in 1996. Ellen had
Ellen had Alzheimer's disease but died of pneumonia at Church Hospital in Baltimore, Maryland. Went into care center in 1995. Cradle Roll from a church in Davis, SD was used to obtain birth certificate when needed for a passport later in life. Ellen was raised on the family farm for awhile. The family lived a short time in Washington state. Graduated from Spencer and went on to Yankton Observatory where she studied music. When she graduated her first job was to direct the choir at Freeman Academy and college. She met Otto. Ellen stopped giving music lessons about the same time Otto retired as she was having problems with her memory. Karen wrote that Otto and Ellen gave lots of joy and kindness to many people over the years. They gave me a good christian foundation. Hazel Fritschen
