Robert Kenyon
James and Dorothy Kenyon’s address in 1918 was 33 Gordon Street, Darwen. Unfortunately Dorothy Kenyon died on 25th October of that year, aged 49 years.
After Dorothy Kenyon died and their son Robert Kenyon had been discharged from the army James and Robert Kenyon went to live in America – either with other family members or to join them (some family remain in America). It is unknown how long James and Robert remained in America but both eventually returned to Darwen. Robert Kenyon married Miriam Anna (or Hanna) Bury in 1920 and had two children Iris Smith (nee Kenyon) 1923 & Colin Kenyon 1929.
After their return to Darwen, James was married for a second time. James’ second wife was Polly Haydock.
