have looked up Andrew I have his parents as Edmond & Jane Day (Is it Kay as you mentioned).
Pat Freebody, November 2002
Death Record gives age of 76 hence a birth year of 1835. Is this age correct?
This suggest that Andrew is Andrew son of Edmund and Jane (unknown) and born in Darwen in about 1835.
The Yates and Kay would suggest a son of Yates Marsden Duxbury and Hannah Kay but he cannot have been since they did have a son Andrew b1838 and died 1885 having had a family. They were 3rd cousins.
Did he adopt the "Yates Kay" when he emigrated? If so, why?
His mother was Jane Kay; but what realtion to Hannah Kay, his 3rd cousin's mother?
